Community Transport

COMPAID Trust:

Provides an accessible transport service, in the West Kent area, for disabled, elderly and vulnerable people, using specially adpated vehicles that will accommodate wheelchair users. The scheme operates during the week 8.30 am - 5.00 pm, providing assistance for Social Service, Health, Local organisations and community clients. They also run a Kent Karrier shopping bus service on behalf of KCC. Please call the Transport Department on 08450 944629 for details and costs of all services.

Dial a Ride:

Provides a transport service only for disabled users who have to be members of the scheme. You pay a fixed one year membership fee and then you pay the set fare for each journey. There are specific routes on specific days. You need to book your journey at least one day prior to travel. Contact KCC Passenger Transport Unit on Tel: 01622 605349. This scheme is run by COMPAID.

Blue Badge Parking Scheme:

This KCC scheme allows disabled people to park closer to shops and amenities and entitles them to free parking at all times in all car parks. To obtain a permit Tel: 01622 605020
